About Christine

Artist Statement:

"My work is a celebration of the intricate, often overlooked details of the natural world. Working primarily with wire and glass beads, I translate the delicate architecture of flowers and insects into permanent, shimmering forms.

Because I work intuitively without patterns, each piece develops its own personality and structural logic—much like the organisms that inspire them. My process is a conversation between the hand and the material, allowing every bead and twist of wire to find its own place. From the vibrant, nectar-heavy blooms of summer to the storied tradition of the 'Christmas Spider,' my art seeks to bridge the gap between folklore and biology. I invite viewers to slow down and rediscover the beauty, history, and legend hidden within the smallest of creatures."

From an early age I was drawn to beads. Perler beads, plastic pony beads, paper wrapping beads were the starting point. Over time I upgraded my materials and found an interest in combining freshwater pearls, natural stones and crystals making unique statement jewelry. After a 6 year hiatus - 3 babies, moving, shifting to stay-at-home mom life - I finally found my creative energy again in 2024. Taking inspiration from the gardens I had slowly been developing, I made a foray into sculpting with wire and beads to create unique floral sculptures that capture both the realistic aspects of different flower varieties and incorporate my own whimsical interpretation of natural components.

When not creating, I spend my time chasing my 3 children around, gardening, cooking, and enjoying our lovely community in Cedarburg, WI. When creating, I can be found in my corner surrounded by beads of all colors, 3 (or more) partially finished projects, and a cat curled up next to me (or on top of me if he gets his way).

I look forward to continuing to expand my creative efforts and sharing my work with the wider community through art shows and partnerships with local small businesses.

Currently my work can be found at local events, my online store, and at the following stores:
